Many people believe that when you say “you need to eat healthy”, it means you need to diet. Well dieting is very different from eating healthy. For example, there’s all these types of diet that really don’t help which maybe you will lose the weight but once you stop the diet you will bounce back to what your weight was. Sooo.. what you want is to begin a healthy eating habit, instead of taking away stuff from you meals replace them with something healthier. For example, white rice with brown rice or even with quinoa, instead of spaghetti make zucchini noodles, instead of having this cake for dessert look for a healthier dessert half and apple or etc. Here’s a list I found at a page that can help you guide yourself in what you should and what you shouldn’t eat:
Remember if you notice:
- Swelling of affected body parts
- Feet, ankles and hands are commonly affected
- The affected body parts may ache
- The joints may feel stiff
- Rapid weight gain over a few days or weeks
- Unexplained weight fluctuation
It may mean that you retain a lot water in your body which means that you should stay away from sodium as much as possible. Food already has salt in many products so you don’t need to add salt to your food.
Remember you need to mentally believe the goal you want to reach and learn to love healthy food because the more you learn to appreciate it the more you will love to eat healthy and the more you’ll love to exercise.
